I just got my dress in (yay!) and its going to need to be hemmed, taken in a little and I'm toying with the idea of changing the straight across strapless neckline to a sweetheart. So, who have you used for alterations? I've seen good reviews for A Touch of Class Alterations and Alterations etc by Sandra Denley, but does anyone have any personal experience or other suggestions? My dress is all over lace, so it may be a little more complicated than some, so I'm looking for someone with plenty of bridal experience.

Sandra is supposed to be really good. I had my first fitting last weekend and my dress doesn't fit! She explained to me what she could/couldn't do (based on the style of dress and the material she had to work with) and she's going to alter it in the back to make it fit me.
It does change the style of the dress a bit, but she assured me that it's going to look awesome. She's got pictures of her work in the studio.

I'm also using Sandra. I have my second fitting on Feb. 8 but so far I've been very happy with her knowledge and suggestions for the alterations of my dress.

Artful Tailoring by Aladdin, he is amazing and did my dress and usually has a rack of them in his shop. He is on Warner and Dobson, I think. We use him for everything and he is a custom designer so more than capable!

Janet Kirkman in Scottsdale also comes highly recommended on the boards. I used her for my dress and she did a great job, I only needed one fitting and the dress fit perfectly.

I'm using Sandra, too! Had my first fitting a week ago, and we're making lots of changes! The dress ended up being way too short, and I wanted a different style skirt anyways. I can't wait to see what's she's able to do! Good luck!

I have used Sandra a few times, for different occassions! I love her! So much that for my wedding earlier this month I drove from Sedona! She is that awesome!

I got married in October 2010 and Sanda did my alterations. She is AMAZING! My sister is getting married in a few months and is also going to Sandra. You'll love her!
